Reese Witherspoon took her career seriously when she first enrolled in Stanford University. In her early career, she played parts in films like Pleasantville and Election. However, it came in Elle Woods' portrayal in Legally Blonde which marked a significant pivotal moment in her career. Witherspoon was awarded her first Academy Award in 2005 for her performance on Walk the Line. Water for Elephants This Means War was one of the latest films she was a part of. The film also earned the actress another Oscar nomination. Witherspoon's success also extended into television. She co-starred of David. Kelleys Award-winning TV program Big Little Lies and a producer. Witherspoon has a father who is a doctor and nurse. The birth of her daughter was to Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon March 22nd, 1976 in New Orleans Louisiana. The parents of Witherspoon are a medical doctor as well as an registered nurse. Her childhood was spent in Nashville, Tennessee as the debutante of her school as well as Harpeth Hall. Witherspoon was a debutante in Nashville Tennessee in 1991 and answered the request for extras in her local paper. At just fourteen years old she was offered the role of lead in her very first movie The Man in the Moon. In 2003, The Invisible Man was her first feature film. From there, she went on to be a part of a variety of television shows like House of Lies Whitney and Better Call Saul. Her film credits are The Dictator, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and The Dictator. A talented painter, she has also had her work displayed in many galleries.
